RIDGEWAY Academy’s year seven cricket team had the opposition stumped yet again as they defeated Walkwood Middle School in the district cricket final on Wednesday.
The 38-run victory (273 runs to 235) means the team have won the district cricket competition for three years running and they will be targeting a fourth successive triumph next year.
It also caps a magnificent year of sport for Ridgeway’s year seven boys who have clinched a hat-trick of district wins by becoming rugby, football and cricket champions.
