COVENTRY City top scorer Marc McNulty has been named the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Fans’ Player of the Year for this season for League Two.
Sparky’s two goals in the play-off semi-finals versus Notts County brought his tally in all competitions to 28 – with Monday’s play-off final still to come at Wembley.
Fans had until today to vote from a shortlist.
The CCFC website stated: “After a slow start to life, McNulty hit the ground running towards the end of October and hasn’t looked back since, finishing runner-up in the Golden Boot award for League Two.”
The Coventry forward won with an impressive 42% of the vote, with Luton Town’s Danny Hylton in second place with 29%.
The other nominees were:
Billy Kee – Accrington Stanley
Adebayo Akinfenwa – Wycombe Wanderers
Danny Hylton – Luton Town
