Combining cookery and comedy - George Egg whisking his way to Bromsgrove's Artrix

Redditch Editorial 4th Feb, 2019

LIVE cooking and laugh-out-loud comedy merge at Bromsgrove’s Artrix tomorrow when George Egg returns with his latest show.

Also known as ‘The Anarchist Cook’, the chef has had sell-outs at the Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh Fringe 2018 and Brighton Fringe 2018.

The show, ‘George Egg: DIY Chef’, tells the story of a health scare resulting in him being banned from the family kitchen but relocating to the garden shed where his imagination and resourcefulness led him to build an improvised kitchen there instead.

The evening consists of live comedy as well as cookery demonstrations as George takes the audience through breakfast, lunch and dinner using some very unconventional methods, power tools and gardening equipment.

The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets at £14 (£12 for over 60s and students) are available at www.artrix.co.uk or by calling 01527 577330.
