Sponsors wanted to make Spring Fair the best yet

Redditch Editorial 17th Feb, 2019

PLANS are afoot to make this year’s Rotary Spring Fair – which takes place at Whitehall Recreation Ground on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6 – the biggest and best yet.

The three Rugby Rotary Clubs who organise the event – which raised £14,000 for local charities and youth groups last year – plan to introduce new attractions including a dog show, a display by the Gurkhas and an interactive display by Wasps Rugby Club.

With Houlton having paid for the infrastructure by renewing its sponsorship of the event, organisers are now seeking advertisers for the programme and sponsors for some of the new attractions.

Organising committee member Willy Goldschmidt said: “We are seeking additional sponsors so we can book quality acts to entertain the crowds who support the Fair, and to raise money for the various charities and local youth groups that we support.”

Admission prices will stay the same as last year, with a family ticket costing £9 on the gate or £5 if bought in advance.
