Man charged with GBH without intent after woman hit by car

A MAN has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent after a woman was hit by a car in Warwick.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital with serious leg and face injuries following the crash in Victoria Street around 11am on May 13.

A car believed to have been involved in the collision was found a short time later in The Chantry having collided with a parked car and flipped onto its roof.

Ifaraz Banaris, 31, of Deedmore Road in Coventry has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent, driving while disqualified, driving dangerously, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and failing to stop after an accident.




He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Warwick Crown Court in July.
