TWENTY-six patients who tested positive for Covid-19 in Worcestershire have died, as of April 1.
Seven of those deaths were announced by Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust today.
The patients were aged between 54 and 94 and all had underlying health conditions.
Matthew Hopkins, chief executive of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and friends of those patients at this very difficult and distressing time.”
The Trust covers the Alexandra Hospital, Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and Evesham Community Hospital.
As of April 1, 170 people in the county have tested positive for the disease.
The number of those who have recovered has not yet been made available.
