A RECRUITMENT drive has been launched to bolster Worcestershire County Council’s Adult Social Care team, which helps residents live independently for longer.
There are around 20 jobs available, including Promoting Independence Assistants (PIAs) and also a number of supervisor and manager roles.
The PIAs will sit within the council’s new Reablement Service and offer short-term, intensive support to adults who need it in their own homes.
The service has been developed in partnership with NHS colleagues and care providers.
Councillor Adrian Hardman, cabinet member for Adult Social Care, said: “Our number one priority is to ensure people can live as independently as possible.
“These new roles will enable us to make sure people are receiving the right support at the right time.
“I’d urge anyone interested and keen to work in this new, exciting service to have a look online and apply if they think they are the right person for the job.”
