CELEBRITY chef Tom Kerridge is heading to Warwick and he’s bringing along a few pals for a weekend of food and music.

Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park festival will be taking place in St Nicholas Park from July 5 to 7.

Top chefs will be live on the demonstration stage offering expert tips and showcasing classic recipes from the likes Tom and Fred Sirieix, Adam Bennett, Candice Brown, Atul Kochhar, Stephen Terry and Nick Deverell-Smith.

On top of the fine food on offer, there will be drinks from the likes of Dark Horse Wine, London Prosecco, Champagne Piaff, Chase Gin and Vodka and Greene King Bar, plus hundreds of goodies from local and national exhibitors in the shopping village.

There will also be pop-up pubs, including Tom’s own The Hand & Flowers plus The Half Moon Kirdford, The Hardwick, The Cross at Kenilworth, Café Murano, The Churchill Arms, Sindhu and Rose & Crown.

And food and drink can be enjoyed while listening to music from the likes Tom Odell, Scouting for Girls, Will Young, The Rifles, Toploader, Cecil, Razorlight, Stereo MCs, Courthouse Band, The Christians, Chalk Drawings and Holloway Road.

Tom Kerridge said: “Last year’s Pub in the Park festivals were so much fun, I can’t wait to bring lush food, world class chefs, ace music and an awesome vibe to Warwick this summer.”

All ticket holders have been notified about the official event parking which will be at Warwick Racecourse from where a free park and ride to and from St Nicholas Park will be in operation.

Other event-goers will be required to park in Myton Fields keeping St Nicholas Park car park free for park and leisure centre users. Warwick District Council’s ranger service will receive additional support from Pub in the Park traffic stewards. Litter pickers will be on site throughout the weekend and also first thing on Monday morning.

District business and environment spokesman Coun Alan Rhead said: “It’s very exciting for Warwick to have been chosen to host this fantastic event and a great opportunity to put our town on the map as a ‘must visit’ destination all the year round. It is very important that we take all practical steps to increase the footfall in our historic town of Warwick so that we can support existing businesses and encourage new businesses as well. We are looking forward to a great weekend which we hope will have the impact for local businesses both now and in the future.

“The district council is providing additional services to ensure that the event proves to be a great success.”
