Tuning in at Napton Village Hall in support of the Myton Hospices

Redditch Editorial 14th Oct, 2019

NAPTON Village Hall will be tapping its feet to the twin sounds of top acoustic music and charity money rolling in on Saturday (October 19) as no fewer than four bands raise money for the Myton Hospices.

Many of those taking part have a personal connection to the hospice and the work it does in helping both patients and their families through the most difficult of times.

Concert organiser Colin Sullivan, who will be among those providing the music, said: “The number of people that Myton are caring for in their various ways is increasing with the amount of money we local people raise.

“It’s not just about ‘end-of-life’ care which, of course is so important, but in other ways such as respite care, assistance for carers, in-home treatment, the day unit, the lymphedema clinic now that the NHS have closed theirs.”

Acoustic duo The Unlikely – featuring Angie Collins and Matthew Salisbury – have been added to a line-up which already boasts Tyburn, Under The Influence and Away With The Fairies, who host the popular Stockton monthly folk club. MC for the evening is Dave Fry.

Tickets are available from Napton village shop or directly from event organiser Colin Sullivan by texting 07773 398617, emailing [email protected] or on the door. The evening starts at 7.30pm.
