Acorns Children's Hospice receives £3,000 boost from the Worcestershire Freemasons

Redditch Editorial 18th Nov, 2019

A £3,000 funding boost from the Worcestershire Freemasons will help Acorns Children’s Hospice provide sensory technology games for life-limited and disabled children.

Derek Taylor from the organisation presented the cash to the hospice’s chairman Toby Porter which was provided by the Worcestershire Masonic Lottery Fund with match-funding from the group’s Charitable Foundation.

The money will go to the Lifelites scheme which includes virtual reality games, such as dragons, Lego and football, along with assistive technology.

The project will make a difference to the lives of the children being cared for by the hospice and enable them to play, be creative, control something for themselves and communicate.
