FOSTER Care Fortnight returns on Monday, May 9 on the theme of ‘Fostering Community’.
The campaign runs through until May 22 and hosts a whole range of ongoing gatherings, activities and opportunities to meet up to discuss fostering across Worcestershire.
Tina Russell, chief executive of Worcestershire Children First, said: “This fortnight is the time to give extra recognition and value to our foster carers, who make a huge difference to the lives of the children they care for and the invaluable part they play in helping us achieve our aim to make children happy, healthy and safe.”
WCF fostering is always looking to expand the county’s family of foster carers, especially those interested in caring for teenagers and siblings.
It also those considering fostering to find out more about the journey to foster, speak with local fostering families, staff and find out more about what life could be like as a foster carer.
