Lovely bunch raise funds for Stratford charities

Redditch Editorial 6th Oct, 2019

SUNFLOWERS have been shining a spotlight on charities in the district.

The pick-your-own sunflower field at Lodge Farm in Kineton raised more than £5,000 for Shipston Home Nursing and mental health charity Springfield Mind. The record-breaking total topped last year’s by some £2,000.

It will be split between the charities which were chosen by organiser Emma Wright whose friends were helped by the nursing charity, which provides a free ‘hospice at home’ service.

Rebecca Mawle, Shipston Home Nursing head of fund-raising head, said: “I am so grateful to Emma and her family. Having met them all and recognised the hard work they have put in to this project, I am delighted that they’ve exceeded last year’s total – a testament to their loyalty and commitment. What a fantastic result, thank you so much.”
