MIDLANDS Air Ambulance Charity has received reaccreditation to the prestigious Investing in Volunteers Standard (IiV) from December 2021 until December 2024, this follows its original accreditation from January 2018 to January 2021.
The Investing in Volunteers accreditation is the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management.
It acts as a seal of approval for an organisation’s ability to provide an outstanding volunteer experience by thoroughly assessing the quality of volunteer management and involvement, acknowledging areas where an organisation is performing well and identifying where there may be room for improvement.
The charity received news of the reaccreditation following two days of intensive external assessments by Investing in Volunteers’ assessors.
Alison Hill, volunteer manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “This notable achievement reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and reassures us that we have the right policies in place to manage our volunteer network.
“I would like to thank everyone who participated in the rigorous assessment process to help us secure reaccreditation.
“It reassures our existing and any potential future volunteers that our processes meet nationally-recognised standards and that our volunteering family feels supported and valued.”
