Redditch Editorial 4th Nov, 2019

POLICE used a stinger on the A441 in Alvechurch to stop two Volkswagens stolen in a double car-key burglary.

The cars, taken from Evesham Road, Redditch, were driven the wrong way on the bypass towards Hopwood as the thieves tried to make their escape.

The stop was made by officers from Worcestershire’s Operational Policing Unit (OPU) with help from West Midlands Police’s traffic unit, the force helicopter and the police dogs unit.

The police tweeted these pictures along with the hashtag #teamwork.
