Renowned Birmingham Philharmonic Wind Ensemble to perform as Bromsgrove Concerts return

Redditch Editorial 26th Nov, 2021

MEMBERS of the Birmingham Philharmonic Wind Ensemble, led by Alistair Moseley, will perform a live concert in Routh Hall at Bromsgrove School at 7.30pm next Friday, December 3, writes Amy Ford.

The Bromsgrove Concerts event will celebrate the works of Mozart, Dvorak and Georges Enescu and, of course, the ensemble.

It will be a welcome return for classical music lovers after 18 months inactivity due to the pandemic.

A programme of international music from the former Czechoslovakia, Romania and Austria will be played by the 13 member ensemble.

Lovers of classical and wind music will particularly enjoy the event as the three works of Dvorak’s sublime Serenade for Winds, Mozart’s Serenade in C Minor for wind octet and ‘Dixtour’ by Georges Enescu will be among the pieces performed.

Tickets are £22 with and under 25s go free.

Visit www.bromsgrove-school.co.uk/boxoffice for tickets or call 01527 579679 for more information.

The concert will also be streamed online at a cost of £8 for people to enjoy at home.
