A RISING star has struck a chord by releasing her second song at the age of just 15, with the help of two Rugby-based talent-spotters.
Ree Reesby has delivered an emotional performance of Calum Scott’s song You Are The Reason, published and shared by Big Help Music and produced with support from Rugby Area Talent Trust.
In September, Year 11 Avon Valley School student Ree joined Big Help Academy – the UK’s leading artist development company for teenagers – and now regularly attends workshops with songwriters at its Strawhouse recording studio in Rugby.
Ree, who specialises in modern pop and regularly sings in local pubs, enjoyed success with her first music video, a dance version of Elle King’s Ex’s & Oh’s, which has been watched thousands of times of YouTube.
The school’s head teacher Alison Davies said: “The performing arts are very important to us as a school and it is wonderful to see one of our students succeeding in her chosen field.
“It is great to see Ree developing her talent with expert help and I wish her all the best for the future.”
