Warwickshire residents' views on climate change welcomed

Redditch Editorial 15th Oct, 2019

THE COMMUNITY is being asked to share views on how best to tackle climate change.

Cracking down on carbon emissions will form a big part of Warwickshire County Council’s five-year plan and the authority is giving residents a chance to have their say.

A roadshow is being held in Leamington Library tomorrow (Wednesday) between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

WCC environmental spokeswoman Coun Heather Timms said: “In Warwickshire we are committed to tackling climate change. We have already taken steps to achieve this however we are still working towards a properly costed plan, with targets for the short, medium and long term.

“I would therefore like to encourage as many of you as possible to come along to one of our October roadshows to share your views on what we should be doing to tackle climate change.”

Alternatively visit ask.warwickshire.gov.uk/resources/council-plan-2025 to submit views.
