A FATAL crash took place on the M6 in Warwickshire this morning (Monday January 17).
Emergency services were called at around 8.50am to a report of a collision between a van and a car transporter lorry on the southbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 2.
The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
A passenger who was travelling in the same vehicle was treated at the scene before being released.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 66 of January 17.
