World renowned guitarist Craig Ogden heading to Bromsgrove as part of new concerts season

WORLD renowned guitarist Craig Ogden will perform at Bromsgrove School’s Routh Hall at 7.30pm next Friday, January 21.

The performance of Australian-born classical guitarist – described as one of the most exciting artists of his generation – is the latest Bromsgrove Concerts event and will pay tribute to legendary guitarist Julian Bream.

Craig’s programme will include works either written for Julian Bream or performed by him, including William Walton’s Five Bagatelles for Guitar and Benjamin Britten’s Nocturnal after John Dowland, plus works by Lennox Berkeley and Richard Rodney Bennett.

Craig is regularly featured on Classic FM and BBC Radio 3 and has performed in many great concert halls around the world.




He is also one of the UK’s most recorded guitarists, and the organisers say it is a real coup to bring him to Bromsgrove.

Tickets – at £22 – are available on the door from 6.30pm and from the Bromsgrove School Box Office at bromsgrove-school.co.uk/boxoffice or by calling 01527 579679.


Children and young people aged 25 or under go free and there is ample free car parking within the school grounds.

Alternatively, people can watch the concert from the their own home with live-stream tickets at £8.

Covid measures will be in place, including social distancing and face masks are recommended.

Everyone attending is asked to undertake a lateral flow test beforehand.
