Students, parents and staff at Prince Henry’s celebrated another impressive set of GCSE and A-Level exam results this summer. Details, including some of the outstanding individual achievements are featured on the school’s website.
Our new Year 9 and Sixth Form students (including 25 who have joined us in Year 12 from other schools) are settling in well and everyone is enjoying the many improvements made to the school site during the holidays, including our refurbished and enhanced Learning Resource Centre.
As ever, the start of the new school year has been busy. Already our Year 9 students have enjoyed an international Cultural Day; Year 12 had a great team building day at Swynnerton Army Camp; and some of our Year 13 students have been away for a training weekend to the Forest of Dean in preparation for next summer’s World Challenge expedition to Malaysia and Borneo. Following last year’s school production of ‘Oklahoma!’, we will soon be choosing the cast for our next musical, ‘Me and My Girl’.
After a highly successful first year, the Prince Henry’s SCITT has welcomed 17 new trainees onto its initial teacher training programme and we are looking forward to watching their careers develop and flourish in the coming months. We will soon be starting to accept applications from potential trainees for September 2019.
