COOKHILL’S Worcestershire League Plate Group B campaign ended with a 100-run defeat at Himbleton 2nds on Saturday.
The hosts posted a massive 314-7 off their 40 overs as Stuart Dickenson led the way with a brilliant 153 including 21 fours and seven sixes.
Kenny Hirst and Lewis Horton both claimed two wickets for Cookhill, who made a decent first of their reply although victory never looked on the cards.
Brad Horsnall made a fine 84 off 61 balls including 17 boundaries before being run out as Cookhill were dismissed for 214 and group winners Himbleton booked their place in the play-off semi-finals, in which they were beaten by two wickets by Evesham the following day.
The previous weekend Cookhill had enjoyed a 17-run win at Astwood Bank 4ths as Andy Leigh’s unbeaten 41 off just 26 balls guided the visitors to 198-7.
In reply Bank were dismissed for 181 in 39 overs as Omair Ishtiaq claimed 4-46.
