JOHN RUSHWORTH (8lb 15oz) took top spot in Saturday’s 2020 River Alne Championship which featured 30 anglers fishing from Great Alne to Alcester.
Nick Paddock (4lb) was runner-up, Paul Gilbert (3lb 13oz) third and Phil O’Donnell (3lb) fourth and section winners were Ali Morgan (2lb 12oz), B McKinlay (2lb 7oz), T Jelfs (2lb 4oz), B Dean (2lb), J Muchell (1lb 10ozs) and J Dean (1lb 7oz).
The next day on the River Arrow at Coughton, the Throckmorton AC match was attended by 13 anglers and there were joint winners as Barry Blewett and Rory Burke topped the scales with 5lb 2oz.
Glyn Blewett was second (3lb), Mick Keen third (2lb 12oz), Pete Lewis fourth (2lb 11oz) and Paul Caswell fifth (2lb 9oz).
