New Fosse Way art trail opens this weekend

Redditch Editorial 12th Jun, 2019

A GROUP of artists have joined forces to create an art trail on the Roman road between Ryton on Dunsmore and Radford Semele.

Art On The Fosse comprises 19 artists from along the Fosse Way corridor who will present their work to the public in various settings including village churches, small studios, conservatories, private houses and garden rooms.

The artists range from semi-professional to amateur, covering painting, pottery, linocut printing, bead-making, photography, wood turning, fused glass, stained glass, handmade pens, basket making and more.

The art trail opens on Saturday (June 15) as part of the wider Warwickshire Open Studios annual event.

Stevie Horton, who will be exhibiting for the Warwickshire Open for the second time, said: “This new Art Trail aims to bring the work of our group of artists to a wider audience.

“Last year’s Open Studios featured over 250 artists and attracted thousands of visitors, many of whom return year after year. Our trail will highlight venues old and new along the Roman road and help visitors plan their day to make sure they don’t miss anything.”
