A SPIRITED elderly couple face their twilight years in On Golden Pond at Kenilworth’s Priory Theatre.
Ethel and Norman Thayer return to their summer home for the 48th year. They are visited by their somewhat estranged divorced, middle-aged daughter Chelsea and her dentist fiance Bill Ray, who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son Billy behind for the summer.
The boy quickly becomes the “grandchild” the elderly couple have longed for. Norman becomes not only the teacher but quickly learns some teenage lessons about modern teenage awareness and modern slang.
The production runs until April 20.
