Cars stolen during Hollywood burglary

Redditch Editorial 25th Nov, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016

TWO CARS have been stolen after the thieves broke into the owner’s home in Hollywood and took the car keys while the family slept.

The intruders unscrewed two bolts and padlocks which secured the rear gate of the house, in Hollywood Gardens, between midnight at 8am on November 15, and snapped the lock of the back door. Another internal lock stopped the raiders gaining entry so they then removed the external beading to a side opening transom window which lead to the utility room and removed the glass.

Once inside they stole the keys to a white Peugeot 208, registration BD62XML and a silver Ford Grand C Max, registration VN61LLC, that were left in the kitchen. and took the two cars off the driveway.

The couple, who were asleep with their two children in the house, said the Peugeot’s tank was three-quarters full of fuel and the Ford had one-quarter of a tank.
