A PET store in Southam was ransacked during a break-in – but no animals were hurt or stolen.
Staff from Southam Country Stores arrived this morning to find goods pulled off shelves and scattered across the floor.
Owner Ian Sudbury believes the burglars took their frustration out on the shop after failing to find cash.
He said: “They tried to take our most expensive dog food but its all spilled across the floor and in the car park. They loaded three trolleys with it but it looks like they could have been disturbed.”
He confirmed all its animals were all safe.
The Westfield Road shop is hoping to re-open later today.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
