Austin are given a good test by Beoley Village

RED-HOT title favourites Austin Ex-Apprentices marched on in the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination but were made to work hard by Beoley Village before securing a 4-2 victory.

Richard Deeming bagged a brace for Austin for whom Andy Nicol and Michael Skerrett also scored, whilst Neville Ekane and Simon Connell netted for Beoley.

Sean Parish and Robbie Davies were the scorers for CBH Fasteners in their 2-1 win over Lodge Park, for whom Terry Nolan netted.

Craig Robinson and Martin Hughes were on the mark for Studley Swan as they saw off Shakespeare Studley 2-1. Ashley Wilson was the scorer for Shakespeare.




Richard Tyler was the lone scorer as AFC Lions edged out South Redditch 1-0, but there was no separating Redditch Town and SO Goose Greenlands who drew 1-1 with Basharat and Gittings the respective scorers.

Ray Butters and Mark Wilkes each netted doubles for Golden Cross in their 6-2 win against Redditch Cross. Tobias Teague and Rhys Whitehouse also scored for the victors, whilst Sean Bailey and Corey Chambers netted consolation goals for Redditch Cross.


New Woodland Cottage were knocked out of the Birmingham Sunday Amateur Cup as they lost 7-2 to Nuneaton side Crown. Stu Byng and Adam Crombie were the scorers for Woodland.
