BROMSGROVE & REDDITCH Athletic Club youngsters produced their best collective cross country performance in recent years with a fifth place overall finish in the West Midlands Young Athletes Cross Country League at Hatton Park in Warwick.
Sebastian Purvis finished only 17 seconds behind the race winner as he placed ninth in the U11 boys race and Gareth Richardson was sixth in the U15 boys.
Ellen Bowen was sixth in the U15 girls event and Amy Mijovic-Cauldwell finished 16th in the U15 girls race.
The highest finishing B&R athlete was Natalie Hatfield who came third in the U11 girls.
