MEMBERS of Mercian Nordic Walking took the top three places in their category of the Cotswold 24-hour race last weekend.
And Tracey Larvin from Bromsgrove finished on 15 six-mile laps in 24 hours, the same amount as the winning woman in the running section.
Bromsgrove’s Busking Bobby Ian Northcott BEM, who launched the Mercian Nordic Walking, finished second after winning it last year.
Eileen Bicknell from Droitwich came third.
Ian said: “I was proud or Tracey’s result as it showed determination and effort but I was also impressed by my clients who managed four laps in what was their first challenge competition at age 68.”
