Trio book their cup final places

CBH FASTENERS will meet Redditch Cross in the final of the BSA Cup after goals from Sean Parish and Callum Davies secured a 2-0 victory over Golden Cross in Sunday’s semi-final.

The final will take place at Studley FC on Thursday, March 9.

AFC Lions are through to the final of the Hunt Crane Cup after beating Redditch Town 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in which Tom Whitehead scored for Lions and Joe Adkins netted for Town.

Lions will face Studley Swan in the final following the latter’s 2-1 win against SCC Redolence. Hughes and Styles scored for Swan and Sproston was on the mark for SCC.




This final will also be played at the Beehive on Thursday, March 23.

In Premier Division action, Neville Ekane scored a hat-trick and Adrien Miller also netted to help Beoley Village to a 4-2 victory at New Woodland Cottage, for whom Bradley Hawkins and Stu Byng struck.


There was an 11-goal thriller in Division One as four goals from Terry Nolan and a brace from Peter Murphy guided Lodge Park to a 6-5 win at Redditch Cross, for whom Sean Bailey (2), Joe Reeves (2) and Luke Taylor-Jones scored.

In Division Two, South Redditch won 4-0 at Shakespeare Studley through goals from Ian Leeton (2), Karl Dwyer and Richard Skan and VKL United fought out a 1-1 draw with SO Goose Greenlands, with Aaron Clayton and Jack Darby the respective scorers.
